Our Story

More than 22 years ago, a visionary group of five women in Calgary, Alberta came together with a shared goal: to create a space where like-minded women in the energy industry could connect, collaborate, and grow organically. With a deep commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and supporting one another's professional and personal aspirations, they laid the foundation for what would become CWiE.

Built upon the three pillars of Philanthropy, Education, and Networking, CWiE has evolved into a vibrant and inclusive community that empowers women, enriches careers, and drives positive change across Canada’s energy sector. What started as a simple idea has grown into a dynamic network that continues to inspire and energize women to this day.
